The Cordis SUITE offers the complete Low-Code Software development platform, based on graphic Model-Driven software engineering, for machine-control applications. A cross-platform solution that supports the PLC-controllers from Siemens, BoschRexroth, Beckhoff, Lenze and also Embedded-controllers running on C# Linux/Windows (with a footprint as small as a Raspberry Pi 3).
This allows for Software development without writing code. Describing software / system behavior in graphical UML object and state diagrams, non-software domain engineers can actively contribute to the detailed development of software.
XR4industry has done a project together with Cordis SUITE in which we simulate a Delta Robot picking products from a conveyor and placing them on another conveyor in Real-Time.
The way the robots works is visualized in the Unity-based Digital Twin from XR4industry which is based on the CAD model from a client. The control logic such as motion path, products spawning and gripping is generated using Cordis SUITE.
This project resulted in an extension of the automated gateway from Cordis SUITE to connect to Digital Twins delivered by XR4industry which are ready to use to efficiently develop different types of production lines and machines. This combined solution makes it possible to efficiently develop and validate new designs without the need for control and machine hardware.
